Kate Viens, the executive director of the
New England Museum Association, plans to step down early next year, after five years leading the Arlington, Massachusetts,-based nonprofit. Viens, who previously served as NEMA’s deputy director, says she has taken a part-time job at the Massachusetts Historical Society doing writing, research and editing projects. A search committee has been formed with the aim of filling her position by early next spring.
