Boston Caribbean Carnival parade is Saturday

The 36th annual Boston Caribbean Carnival parade in Dorchester is Saturday, Aug. 29. It is one of the largest annual events in the city, and the stunning hand-crafted costumes make it perhaps the city’s greatest annual public art spectacle. The grand masquerade carnival parade begins around noon at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Warren Street and ends at Blue Hill Avenue at Franklin Park. For more information, visit the event’s official site and Michael C. Smith’s site.
