Vincent Ferrini dies

I was saddened to hear that the great Gloucester poet Vincent Ferrini died Monday.

His nephew Henry Ferrini e-mailed friends that night:

At 9:30 pm tonight, Christmas eve, Vincent made it back to the Pleroma. He had a smooth exit. No pain just peace. Shelia his daughter was with him. Many of you have known that he has been failing over the last year. Last week he had a heart attack that combined with a bout of pneumonia was enough for him to call it quits. A celebration of his life will be held at a forthcoming date.
