Bread and Puppet Theater in Vermont

We recently made a visit to Bread and Puppet Theater up at its home base in the lovely mountain valley of Glover, Vermont. One of the company’s major themes this summer is the government bailout of selfish, greedy, reckless financiers, while the poor, the newly unemployed, continue to struggle. You can see it in our photos of Bread and Puppet’s parade through the small town of Craftsbury, Vermont, on Aug. 8. Over the coming days, we’ll dig into the company’s current shows.
