João Ribas is new MIT List curator

João Ribas, a curator at the Drawing Center in New York since 2007, has been named the new curator of exhibitions at MIT’s List Visual Arts Center, the Cambridge institution announced today. He fills the shoes of Bill Arning, who left the List to become director of the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston on April 6. Ribas, a native of Portugual, is expected to begin work in Cambridge on Sept. 21.
